Oh Hey I Released a Game, and Other Updates
I haven't written a normal blog post in a while, So I figured I could now.
I released a game a couple months ago.
I have the link on my site already but heres me officially sharing that it was actually finished. it can be played here:
a bit of the music was done by a friend of mine, which their music can be found here ivory toothpaste at bandcamp Please do go give their stuff a listen!
I had also released an update to the game, mostly small things just with some feedback on the camera that was too quick for some players. I have a small plan to update it one my time with the Godot 4.3 update, but that will have to wait till...
I started another game
so I already shared the first devlog for it, but i have started, and almost finished my second game made with godot. This Too Shall Pass, is a top down "hack-n-slash" style game. The game is about how the bad things will eventually pass, very subtle.
RSS Feed!
I have now (like while writing this) made my own RSS feed! it can be found on the side bar on my home screen or at this link RSS Feed I know i dont post much but i do plan on posting more hopefully.
If you would like to create your own I found a method through this person caffeine and lasers
I'm moving???
I feel like this has been a long time coming, but within the last two months it was sorta dropped on me the plan to move, and so now we are working on that. Its been... annoying. Its like fine mostly, I dont like where i live, but its also bittersweet to move from my childhood hometown. I can only know once we are gone if this is a good idea really, so going along with it.
Releasing music
While not finished, i am making a lot of music for the next game, this has created a backlog of stuff i probably wont use in the game and will go unreleased... unless. I am thinking of releasing them as their own side project, I like a lot of them despite not fitting the vibes i want for the game, so why waste that time on not releasing them?
My next plans
I have a few plans for next projects i want to make, the main issue being creative is just how many ideas i have. The main two plans are of course games/programming projects. The first game I have an idea for is a game im currently calling "Ship at the end of the world" I cant give much of my idea atm, but its about facing inevitable death and the people you meet.
"Insert your own music mod" I have plans for games in the future to allow players to add in their own music to games using godot. To do so I plan on creating a standalone feature in the godot engine that i can then adapt to games in the future. I will probably release it as well maybe including the source code for any who wish to do it as well
