{Pilots in giant war machines, synced to a metal body. A new body, better than the meat that holds them together. The mind is disconnected from the true body, the flesh is temporary while the machine eternal.}

I struggle with depersonalization-derealization disorder. I've known this for a long time. I've had issues with it since I was a teenager in high school struggling to survive through all the hell that is that along side mental illness. DpDr is commonly a coping mechanism for the brain, due to trauma or high stress. That along side gender dysphoria, what comes with gender dysphoria it was a lot to deal with in highschool.

{I was born to pilot a mech. I am nothing without the machine. I am to be sharpened and used. I am useful as a weapon. Sick me on anyone for your enjoyment. Let me bite, claw, and tear them apart.}

The common example of my depersonalization is comparing it to that of a mech pilot. The idea of having to pilot a mech you aren't synced too. The disconnect between their mind and the body of the machine. That's how most days feel to me. A mind in a machine that they barely control.

{What is a blade for if not to cut. What is a gun for if not to be shot. What is a weapon for if not to hurt.}

Its gone on long enough that I have trouble identifying with being human. It might feel like a bad coping method to some, however I think the ways in which I've identified with other things has actually helped. Helped in understanding myself on a deeper level than just going through the motions ever did. My brain is not perfect but it doesn't have to be for me to live with it.

{I was born to guard. I am nothing without my purpose. Cerberus at the gate of the underworld to stop the dead from leaving. I am a dog. I am the great Pyrenees guarding live stock. Let me guard whatever needs protecting.}

There are many characters or entities I identify with that feel far more me than any other. These usually fall under categories, those of service creatures, or those of people struggling with their humanity.

{I am a guard dog. Let me protect. Make me useful through the labor of protection. Let me take the hit so you shall survive.}

Being a human slowly makes less and less sense to me. I don't think I'm searching for humanity though, I'm searching for finding myself in the vast unknowing nature of what I am.

{What am I?}

Being a person is hard when you don't understand your own humanity. I bring up mech pilots, despite them not existing. I can identify with the stories, the characters. The way in which they struggle with humanity and being a person is real. To understand my brain as a mech pilot is to understand my brain. I bring up dogs because being a human is hard. Dogs exist in the sphere of humans, companions, loved and giving love. To understand my brain as a dog is to understand my brain.

{A being that is useful}

A mech pilot is useful. They have a job to do, a person to tell them what to do. They are honed and created to be useful for somebody. A dog is loved even if they are not useful. Some dogs just laze around all day and are still loved. I am a useful dog though. I protect those around me. I am a pilot. I am a dog. I am Cerberus.

{A being that is nothing.}

Gender becomes hard when you don't understand your own person-hood. I am a woman. I fight to be a woman. Sometimes, I am not though. Sometimes I am ∅. Often I am a woman. However I am also ∅ Gender is weird. How does one feel ∅? Why do I feel ∅? Not lack of gender. Devoid of gender. Gender∅. Gendervoid. How am I both ∅ and a woman?

{The fog is coming.}

Things become much harder when your brain and your body don't feel connected. Emotions that seem easy just don't exist. I am not happy, but I am not sad. I am not calm, but I am not angry. I am not feeling anything, Its not some dull ache, its a complete lack of emotion. A ∅ emotion.

{A haze settling over the landscape.}

When your brain is so fogged, nothing feels real. I could identify hundreds of items in my vicinity, Tell you the color of every object in a room, touch every single one. It doesn't bring me back to myself. It does nothing for me.

{A false body and a fake soul}

I'm already forgetful enough without it. When its fogged though it becomes even worse. Things blur so much it's a haze of nothing and everything. Until I get little bouts of not feeling disconnected, then I can remember. Moments the fog clears. Moments I'm talking with friends are the most often, though not always.

{I am neither false nor fake.}

I am the people around me. I am the bonds I have made. I am one with the people I love, It all feels easier around them. Like little bits and pieces of me come back when I get to be with people who care about me. No matter how gone my mind feels sometimes.

{I am formed by interaction of others. They create me as I create them. These relationships and interactions serve to shape the patterns of my heart and mind.}

I struggle with interactions, what is there to say when I am ∅? How do you interact with the people you talk too? I don't know when I am not interacting with people I care about. Its like the flesh and the ∅ is synced together. A surprising amount of clarity in those moments. Though some things dont go away. ∅ is still there, the true self would not exist without ∅. Therefore the true self is also still a dog, the true self is still a pilot. ∅ does not disappear because it syncs with the body. its two parts of my self that coexist in those moments.

{The formed self a true reflection. The unformed self an imitation}

To interface with people, The pilot, the dog. They are the ones I interface through. The things which I am that prop up the false self. The thing that interacts and seems human enough for those that do not see the true self. They help in a way that is hard to understand. I don't need to feel human to let those aspects of me take the load off of being around people. The self they create for interfacing is a shell of the true self. One that doesn't need to sync with the flesh to interact, but doesn't feel whole. Doesn't need to feel whole to atleast get through the interactions. The pilot is careful. Takes their time to understand a situation, analyzing. The pilot is always ready for a threat, though they may not come. The dog is kind, protective. Knows how to smile when it needs, knows how to be the nice on. The dog is always ready to be kind. Together they form a whole that works when they are needed away from the true self.

{There is never enough of the self. There is never too much of the self.}

It can be hard to not doubt myself, or worry I'm not good enough to have friends. I worry I'm not there enough for people. I'm not there enough for me, how can I be there for my friends? I don't want to ask them either, that feels like I'm searching for some complement. Like if I tell you I'm not there enough, how do I know you don't feel obligated to tell me I am? I know I care at least, the simple fact of worrying is enough to understand I care. The issue comes when I've been so blank all day, I didn't really think of anything or anyone. Pass maybe a passive thought of wanting to be near them. That doesn't feel the same though. This is the only fear of my head space, is that it distances me too much from people I care about, or people I want to be better friends with.

{How to human?}

I don't know.

Kurt Cobain Was A Trans woman

This is not transvetigating. Transvestigating is a term for when transphobic people point to "biological" reasons why someone is trans, and use it as a way to push the idea of some major trans agenda to turn people trans.

Calling me a transvestigator because i point out a dead person might have possibly been trans and not said, or wasn't able to say for any reason is transphobic

## Kurt And Transness
Kurt Cobain grew up in the 80s and 90s, when transness wasn't really accepted, nor talked about in any large capacity. It wasn't as well understood, your average person wouldn't have known.

### Dresses
Kurt wore... a LOT of dresses, I'm not just talking about on stage. they admitted to wearing them around their house, not some shameful secret that they kept hidden. They talked about enjoying wearing dresses.

They wore a gown to the "headbangers ball" because it was a ball.

"Well your cherry picking!" Maybe, I also know they said _"I like to wear dresses because they're comfortable. Men wearing dresses isn't controversial."_ in 1993. That's true, they're right and they helped to pave way for these things to become more okay.

### Fucking in Lingerie
This isn't airing any dirty laundry here, Kurt had a biography written on them, and after a show Kurt and Courtney kissed, the story goes they fucked on the bar, but that's denied, and the biographer says the truth is that they fucked while Kurt wore Courtneys lingerie

One may hear this, and think that's perverted or weird, but as a trans woman it makes sense. It makes sense why they would be aroused in that lingerie, its understandable.

### Not Identifying with the guys

There's a quote where they're saying "i'm not a jock" and they didn't identify with jocks, but there's one part of the quote that sticks out "I knew I was different. I thought that i might be gay or something because i couldn't identify with any of the guys at all."

I had a similar struggle as a kid, not identifying with the jocks. Or identifying with the guys. It is what truly made me question myself and my identity. Even outcasts I knew could identify with them in the man aspect of it. I couldn't.

There's a song by Against Me! titled "drinking with the jocks" where Laura (the trans front-woman of the band) talks about trying hard to fit in with the jocks, and acting like she was one of them. Wishing she was one of them.

Just a thought. its weird right? that we associate jock-ness with man hood? that we wished we were more like them. That trans woman who deal with these things their whole life realize they didn't identify with the jocks, or the guys.

### Their Eyes.
Look at a picture of Kurt Cobain, and now go on r/transtimelines. Look at the eyes.

If you can't see it then fine, but its something so obvious. Every single one of those trans people, trans women and trans men. Have this look in their eyes that is so obvious. Its like night and day seeing these peoples smiles.

I am not alone in this feeling, of being able to look at people and their eyes and see it. I cant point it out on a hunch, but you know deep down when someone has that look as a trans person.

### "Well its disrespectful"
This is something i have heard a number of times, that its somehow... disrespectful to wonder if a dead person was trans. Why?

Is it disrespectful to wonder if Emily Dickinson was queer? or if Sappho was lesbian? Because straight people love to debate those things. I don't just mean debate either, straight people love to erase these identities of these people. When I say Emily Dickinson is queer, im saying that she wrote love poems to women. When straight people say she is straight, they are erasing those love poems from existence.

Historians will absolutely tell you that we don't know anything about anyone for sure. We only have to go off what we can actually see. We can't pull Emily Dickinson from the past and ask her if she loved women. We just have the signs she shown about being in to women.

It is not disrespectful to say that a cis person who has shown signs of being trans might be trans.
But it is disrespectful to erase those signs and declare that person as 100% cisgender just to save your little cis heart from the cRaZy belief that they might have been trans.

The only reason cis people find that disrespectful is because you believe that being trans is derogatory. When I say that someone might have been trans, its out of love and joy for that person and the experience of being trans.
## Plot Twist.
I don't care about the original debate truly. If i swayed you, then cool. Uh but it doesn't matter to me personally if Kurt was or wasn't trans, Kurt is an influence for me, So i care about that, it would be nice if they where trans.

So what is this really about?
Trans people.

## A tree falls in the forest.
If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make noise?
If person knows deep down that they are the wrong gender, but never say it, are they trans?

You have a right to self identify, and that means that i can not impose that you are a gender identity without you saying it. Im not imposing this identity on anyone.

What I can do however is tell you that too many trans people died, wishing they could live their authentic selves.Too many of my siblings are in graves marked by the name they hated.

If i get buried in a grave that bares a name i do not use. I hope the people who love and know me, will deface my grave with my true name.

## Egg Prime Directive

In Star Trek there is the concept of the "Prime Directive" where the advanced federation will not interfere with the natural course of history for civilizations they meet that haven't naturally found space travel.

Now a lot of trans people have brought this to the concept of an Egg and being trans

an egg is someone who hasn't realized their trans yet.

Here is the deal besties. Some people take this way too far. I am not pushing someone to be trans by helping them, or telling them they might be trans.

Too many people come to this idea that you haven't to proceed with the utmost caution when it comes to someone figuring out their gender. You need to take it by a case by case basis.

Do not out this person to others, do not jump to the conclusion they are trans. You talk to them about it, you give ways to help them figure this out about themselves.

Too many trans people have died not knowing. Too many have died alone. I will not be idle and let that happen to more trans people.

## Closing
This post has been done for a while, i didnt go back over and edit anything i just added the last section and then also edited the section before the plot twist.

So if my point gets muddled this section is here to lay it out a bit more flat.

It is not disrespectful to think others are trans. Because my belief someone might be trans is not derogatory of them. I am trans, I find joy and excitement and love in my transness. I want other trans people to experience those emotions as well.

I will not diminish the word trans to be palatable to cis people. If someone shows signs of being trans they deserve to know that. If they search and look and find themself and that self is not trans? then coming out the other side their still better for exploring that.

If someone shown signs of being trans in the past, i am not disrespecting them by saying that they might have been trans. If i wasnt out, but i knew i was trans. Then i died, and people came and looked through my life and found signs that i would have identified as trans. i would rather they impose that belief in their mind and tell others about that, than let me rot in the belief i wasnt.

I am the first person to ever say this! This blog post is 2000% original. No one in the history of the internet has ever said anything bad against algorithms till now.

## Music
I stopped using Spotify a few days before I moved to my new place; I had off and on been into the idea but never really got into having local music. I almost exclusively listen to local music now, and it undeniably is better for me. When I feel like listening to something that isn't in my own collection, I use a YouTube Music client to listen to some of my playlists, but it's rare.

I started finding music in other ways, from randomly stumbling upon it on YouTube (yes, I know this has an algorithm; when your YT algorithm is as fucked as mine though, it doesn't really matter) to magazines that still talk about music and do reviews of shit. I have found an actual love for finding music again from other humans.

### [Bandcamp](https://bandcamp.com/)
I started using this super recently, but it's easily THE way I am going to find new and interesting artists. I am notorious for wishlisting anything that slightly interests me on other platforms (my Steam wishlist currently has over 900 games on it). This has been the same experience so far; [my wishlist](https://bandcamp.com/sticktrix/wishlist) is full of queercore and punk bands and will only grow honestly.

No ulterior motives posting that link :3

I have found more interesting and unique sounds and bands on Bandcamp than I ever did on Spotify.

#### I love art, March 2024 :3
So weird art/games I played in March aren't happening. I don't have enough time, lmao. BUT count this as me doing that here and now! I'm not a music reviewer, so it's just gonna to be rapid-fire albums you should check out, especially cause I haven't been able to really get fully into them just yet.

- [Passing In Public & Other Lies Constructed By Alexandra Valentine](https://alexvalentine.bandcamp.com/album/passing-in-public-other-lies-constructed)
- [Bad Connection by Spam Caller](https://phagetapes.bandcamp.com/album/bad-connection)
- [Freaky Alien Genotype by underdoll](https://1800corp.bandcamp.com/album/freaky-alien-genotype)
- [Bad Girl by Shauna And The Shams](https://shaunaandtheshamms.bandcamp.com/album/bad-girl)
- [Clock by Queerbait](https://queerbaitband.bandcamp.com/album/clock)
- [Disappointment.Death.Dishonor by Closet Burner](https://ifbrecords.bandcamp.com/album/disappointment-death-dishonor)
- [Political Child by Pink Suits](https://pinksuits.bandcamp.com/album/political-child)
- [These Faggots Kill Fascists EP by Addict Suunshine](https://addictsuunshinesucks.bandcamp.com/album/these-faggots-kill-fascists-ep)
- [Tranny Monsters by Psychotic Clown Pussy](https://psychoticclownpussy.bandcamp.com/album/tranny-monsters)
- [BBLP by B.I.M.B.O.S](https://bimbosatl.bandcamp.com/album/bblp)
- [New Wave of British Transphobia by Gender Warfare](https://genderwarfare.bandcamp.com/album/new-wave-of-british-transphobia)

### Radio
No, not the radio in your car; those are fine, but commonly the motivation is more on money than any way of recommending you the songs. You're gonna get the same 20 bands on most any radio station, and even if you can find new music, the likelihood of finding a station you like in your area is low.

I mean internet radio. If you're on Linux, that would mean [ShortWave,](https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Shortwave) if you're on Windows, you're shit out of luck. I can't help you, lmao. Shortwave has a cool feature where it auto-records the last few songs so you can keep them and refind them later for easier access or if you liked the song.

I highly recommend it. I love finding cool bands through human recommendations.

### Sites For Music
This is a wide range of meanings, from [NTS.live,](https://www.nts.live/) which has so much cool shit on it, to easily learn about music and other things people create. Or [Album of the Year,](https://www.albumoftheyear.org/) where people and critic scores show how albums have been rated. Or [Rate Your Music,](https://rateyourmusic.com/) which is a more pretentious Album of the Year. It's a more human-focused way of finding music. There are also YouTube channels like [COLORS](https://www.youtube.com/@COLORSxSTUDIOS) that show off a number of different artists of certain genres. [Kinda Neat if you can hear me; please come back. ;-;](https://www.youtube.com/@KindaNeat)

### Magazines
It's not my favorite way, and I don't really have any recommendations, but find music mags and journalists and go through their reviews. Even Pitchfork, which understandably has a lot of hate, has a great "new releases" section that you can actually get an [RSS feed too directly](https://pitchfork.com/feed/reviews/best/albums/rss). So you don't have to see anything else from them.

### Reviewers
A lot of people like Anthony Fantano, and listen, if you like him, Hell yeah, I think he's pretty alright, though I disagree with a lot of his scores I find. There are a whole lot more out there like Deep Cuts (though he's not around much anymore). Find one that is in your niche, and you'll likely find some really cool ass music.

## Blogs
I don't have enough experience in finding blogs, but I do follow a couple like [Reilly Spitzfaden](https://reillyspitzfaden.com/) ([RSS](https://reillyspitzfaden.com/feed.xml)) who I found through a databending post.

## RSS
I love RSS, and did you know I have one?

Did you also know you can turn almost anything into an RSS feed with [OpenRSS?](https://openrss.org/) I use this for basically everything, including news, YouTube (though YouTube doesn't need this, channels already have a hidden RSS feed), blogs, newsletters (like Substack(fuck newsletters), and Bandcamp. You can even use it for social media if you hate things but still want to follow artists or people.

## Social Media
I love and hate non-algorithm social media, actually. I use Bluesky, and I kind of just post whatever the fuck I want about what I'm doing, honestly.

Social media is hell; I think it's mostly fine, but the way the algorithm for most social media works makes them unusable for people with no following if you want to share your art with people. However... that doesn't magically go away when there is no algorithm. It's harder to find people and things you like on Bluesky, and more niche things or specific things likely don't have a community on there. Which, to be fair, don't have a community on the algorithm ones either.

So it's like two sides of the same coin to me; I prefer the no-algorithm of Bluesky, to be fair, or Tumblr with no algorithm. However, I can't say these things are amazing or anything. I kinda just wish forums were popular again for actual community lmao.

## Human Interaction In The Digital Age
Its rare to have human interaction online now a days, and that's because a big company has made robots that pick and choose what is best for you to see. The algorithm gives you an illusion of choice around what you watch, listen too, or read.

Where actually discovering things through other people, with no algorithm feels far better. I enjoy bands my friends told me about from years ago still, I enjoy music i found through the tony hawk games as a kid. I enjoy books friends let me borrow, or people recommended. I enjoy shows that people recommend me. More than I do ones that just happened upon me due to an algorithm finding the "perfect match"

# Other Shit
I haven't posted another blog post in a bit cause I am working on them atm lmao, and I am working on my game, and I am working on worldbuilding. I might post some of it, but who knows with me? I am also working on a new fun little side project so I can do some coding while figuring out my bane, 3D modeling. The circus happened. I do actually want to share it, but I need to upload it to my computer so I can edit it all down and such. Then the concert in May, which I can't wait for.

ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111!!!!1 My birfday is in April, :3 April 14th, so hell yeah, I'll be 27 in less than a month.
