Having powers sounds amazing till it's one that only makes living harder. When you can see the future, you think you can save people, change the outcome, fix it all. Hanna realized quick that people don't really listen though. Tell them about something bad happening and what leads to it, they still proceed with the same actions. Tell them you've seen all of this before and they say its déjà vu.

Hanna Beasley was '*gifted*' with foresight as her parents say. She will argue it's much closer to a curse. Knowing when and how your family and friends are going to die isn't fun. Telling them made it too morbid, if they asked, what was she supposed to say? So most people she would never tell about her powers until they needed to know.

Laura Meyer was Hanna's girlfriend, they lived together, so of course Hanna had told her. They had a nice loving relationship at first, but the foresight often got in the way. Making Hanna paranoid and controlling thinking she was making the right choices for them both. If Hanna hadn't gotten any foresight into the plans, she would cancel them. If she saw a future with something going wrong, she would force Laura to change the plans in some way. Laura got tired of the foresight slowly ruining their relationship.

Saturday.
Waking up in a cold sweat, Hanna knew exactly what she had seen. Laura was going to break up with her today. Then in a few days Laura would die. The two events where linked clear in her head. She knew, if she could just get her to stay a little longer Laura would live.

Laura had already gotten up and gone to the kitchen. She could be heard brewing the coffee like most mornings. Hanna pushed herself up and quickly made her way out to the kitchen in her pajamas. Finding Laura leaning against the far counter, sipping from the mug Hanna got her a few months into dating. Laura looked just as tired as she had for the last few weeks.

"Morning Hanna." Laura spoke softly before sipping her coffee.

Hanna gave a small worried smile to Laura. "Morning... Oh hey, we should uh... Like go out today!" Her voice was quicker than she had meant for it to come out.

Laura raised an eyebrow, this was out of character for Hanna. She was a homebody, the only reason she would want to go out suddenly was if she knew. "Hanna... I really didn't want you to find out like-"

"Please." Hanna cut her off suddenly. "Laura please I know what you're planning on saying, I had a vision."

Laura sighed, of course she did. All the words she planned to say were whisked away in that moment. She hated the visions. And yet despite that, she was open to hearing Hanna out. "You had a vision about me leaving?" Hanna nodded in response. She didn't want to tell her the whole story if she could just fix this instead. "And you want to... What? Fix it now?"

"Yes. Laura I'm sorry. I know what you were going to say. I... I let the visions get to me. I'm controlling, I'm too paranoid. We never go on dates or do our plans because of me. Please." She fumbled the words out. These weren't new complaints, just ones she knew too well from Laura. Always promised she would work on them.

"And... you want to try again?" The words came out flatter than she meant, disbelieving. Laura had heard them far too many times to count.

"Please... I'm trying... Let me... Prove I'm trying, we can spend the whole day hanging out, just having a good day together! If... by the end of the day you think it isn't worth it, I won't fight you on it. I swear." She was desperate, more desperate than Laura had heard before. An uncomfortable silence settled over the kitchen before Laura would finally nod.

"Okay.... Okay, I will let you try. I know you won't fix it by the end of the day... But, if I see you trying, I'll stay." Hanna let out a breath hearing her say that. That was one crisis diverted. Now she just has to prove she really means she wants to fix this.

They spent the rest of the day together. Hanna really tried. For once in the relationship, Hanna spent the day not letting her brain ruin every step or turn. She let Laura guide the pace of the day. Finally, the two had a lovely time together. Maybe she could change fate.

Saturday. Second try.

Laura looked just as tired as she has for the last few weeks.

"Morning Hanna." Laura spoke softly before sipping her coffee. Hanna stared at her for a long moment. This was odd. This was wrong.

"Morning... What day is it?" It all felt off, this felt different than her visions.

"Saturday?"

Hanna shook her head. Maybe it was just a vision, maybe this was her actual chance to try again instead. "Oh... weird, I had a weird vision then."

Laura gave a soft but forced chuckle. "Oh... Then, I guess there's no reason too-"

"Wait, Please..." Hanna cut her off before she could finalize it. "Let me try again, I know this is crazy but my vision showed you breaking up with me... But then you let me try again and I fix it. We have a nice day together." Desperate and scared, she explained as much as she could about the 'vision'. Laura sighed as she looked at her girlfriend, the way her whole body was tense. It looked as if Hanna would unravel in front of her if she didn't let her try.

Laura finally nodded after a few moments of silence. "Okay. I will give you one last day. If you actually look like your trying... Then maybe I can stay." The relief in Hanna's eyes was instant.

She nodded quickly. "Thank you, I swear I won't let you down."

The day went perfect again. Hanna made sure to keep everything beat for beat. Laura saw her pushing for things a little but it seemed she was trying. That felt like enough for now, and they had a nice lovely day out for once.

Saturday. Fifth try.
Waking up in a cold sweat, Hanna knew exactly what she had seen. Laura was going to break up with her today then in a few days Laura would die. The two events where linked clear in her head. She knew, if she could just get her to stay a little longer Laura would live.

Hanna however, had lived this day a few times now. She had no idea what was going on. Why was she being kept in this loop? She saved their relationship. She saved Laura. Maybe she was doing something wrong? Maybe she just wasn't trying hard enough to get it right. Maybe the date was the wrong type of date. She had to try again.

She gets up. She talks to Laura. She explains everything. They go out. She proves she can be better. She fixes their relationship. They go home. They sleep.

Saturday. Eighth try.
Cold sweat. Laura is going to leave. If she leaves, she dies. Linked clear as day in Hanna's mind. Something she was doing was wrong. She couldn't figure it out though. The variations weren't working. She started trying different date ideas completely.

Saturday. Ninth try.
Take Laura on a trip to a restaurant she's always wanted to try. Hanna pays for it herself.

Saturday. Tenth try.
Takes Laura to the park, they share an ice cream as they lay in the grass.

Saturday. Twelfth try.
Takes Laura to a local theme park, a nice long drive where they get to talk. The rides are fun, she lets Laura guide her through the park.

Saturday. Fifteenth try.
Takes Laura out of town to her parents house. Hanna finally gets to talk to them again after so long. She gets to show Laura's family she can change.

Saturday. Nineteenth try.
Hanna was running out of ideas. She would repeat some, try to change things she said, change how she acted. Each date felt perfect and correct. Each time the correct things were being said. She was being a good girlfriend for once. She was being a good lover. Why was life making her go through this day again and again.

Saturday. Twenty Seventh try.
She laid in bed tossing, turning over. Trying to think of a new plan. A cold creeping thought kept coming back though. One she was burying since the fifteenth try. Has she changed at all? Twenty seven times, Hanna had talked Laura into letting her try to fix their relationship. Twenty seven times she pulled Laura to all these places, shown her how much better she could be. It had been a month of this, over, and over.

But she was still the same Hanna. Still too scared of her foresight to let her girlfriend make her own decision, have her own agency. Too paranoid to tell Laura the whole truth. Try as she might, she couldn't save this relationship. She could only hope Laura would heed her warning.

She pushed herself out of bed, and trudged to the kitchen. Where Laura stood the same way she has for the past twenty seven Saturdays in a row. She was drinking the same coffee, from the same gifted mug. Looking just as tired this time as she did the first time.

"Morning Hanna." Laura spoke softly before sipping her coffee.

"Morning." Hanna replied just as soft. She took a deep breath. There was no stopping it. "I know what's coming, I had a vision. I... Understand."

Laura looked at her for a long moment. "I'm sorry you found out that way. I would have rather I been the one to tell you... I mean actual me, not some vision." The two talked for a few hours. Hanna didn't feel right not explaining what happened to her. She told her, explained it all despite how crazy she felt saying it. She warned Laura about the possibility of her death in a few days time, explained the events leading up to it.

After the discussion, Laura left the apartment. Hanna stayed, curled up on the couch. She spent the day alone with her own thoughts. That night Laura slept at her friends house, and Hanna found sleep on the bed eventually.

Sunday.
