Helping Hand
Smoke settled as five figures headed towards the city. A crowd was quickly forming now that the attack on the town had been pushed back. "They are gone for now, We destroyed the siege equipment. They shouldn't be able to regroup for a while." The man in the middle called out to the crowd, which immediately began to cheer. He was large and carried a sword to match, clad in intricate armors. His ruby colored horns glistened. It was clear to the crowd he was a majstra, the four with him all wore their own intricate designs.
The Towns guard rushed through the crowd with spears in hand, A number of them stood in awe, however around half pointed the weapons at the majstra. "You're Beast Hunters? You are under arrest. This is town is under Emperor Cusimo's jurisdiction." One of the guards spoke his voice shaking. He wore the same armor as the rest of the guards, his helmet bore the insignia of a captain.
Dal Brig, the majstra from before sighed. "We are doing a part of our job friend. We have no want to stay." The crowds cheers quickly turned to jeering as the captain closed space between him and the majstra.
"Show me your hands hunters!" The captain shouted at the five hunters. He fumbled on his belt grabbing shackles.
"Fine, but this only hurts you." Dal motioned to the now angry crowd as he put his wrists out for the shackles. The other majstra sighed before doing the same.
The captain clasped one of the shackles on Dal's wrist before taking a moment to look back at the increasingly angry crowd. Trash and food where being thrown past the passive guards. He quickly unshackled Dal. "Fine." The captain Signaled to the other guards to stop. "I will allow you off this time for your deed in helping the town. However we can not allow you to stay." The captain reattached the shackles to his belt and eased up the spear.
"I thought you would have a change of heart. We can't stay if we wanted, we stopped to help because we knew we should." Dal gave a smile to the captain. He waved to the crowd of now mixed reactions. "We hope to see this town thrive, Burn Bright." Dal gives a whistle to the rest of the majstra as the begin heading away from the town.
